Mission Trip to Oxnard, California
June 2001

It was a GREAT mission trip.  On June 10th, Rev Rick Minnich, Debbie Davis, Karen & Kirk Christensen flew with eight of our youth to Oxnard, California and did a Vacation Bible School with Westminister Presbyterian Church right on the beach.

They used a modified version of Marketplace AD which we used here for several years.  There were a core group of kids there every day but many kids stopped playing on the beach to join in the fun.  Since they were very accessible on the beach, several people including adults stopped by just to listen to them sing.

To finance the trip, they did fundraisers and several organizations in the church donated too.  They are looking forward to the next trip but that could be 3 or 4 years away.
