graduated from there in 1977 with a BA in Psychology and Religion and
began work on a MA in counseling at Whitworth College in Spokane WA.
1978, he worked as a counselor in a drug rehabilitation program
until he began his seminary work at Princeton Theological Seminary from

After 4 years, he was called to be pastor for Round Hill
Presbyterian Church which grew by 33% in worship during his ministry.
He came to FPC Ogden to become head of staff with the goal of helping the church through its transition.

the Synod of the Rocky Mountains and is currently on the board of Salt
Lake Theological Seminary. His
work includes publications in Leadership and ReNews and has
contributed a Chapter in a forth coming anthology by Christianity Today.
Of his
ministry, Rick says, “The most important goal for every Christian is
to learn how to love others the way Jesus did.
That is only possible because of the love and forgiveness that we
have received from God through the gift of His only begotten Son, Jesus.
When we realize that God loves us and has provided for our
salvation through the sacrifice of His Son, we must respond in love and
gratitude toward God which intern leads us to love our fellow human
beings.”
His wife Jill
is also a Presbyterian Minister and is pastor of Ogden Japanese Christian
Church. Together they have 3
Children, Peter, Robert and Carly. Aside
from being a parent, his hobbies include Music (playing guitar, keyboards
and singing), Golf, and Scuba Diving.
Along with his work as pastor and for the great church, Rick serves
with the Ogden Kiwanis Club.
